Structural Inspection and Quality Assurance
Visual weld inspection is performed by CSA W178 certified welding inspectors to CSA W59, CSA Z248, CSA Z662, ASME B31.1, and ASME B31.3. The customer has the choice of random visual inspection, which is typical for many steel structures such as buildings where inspection takes place after the completion of the welding, or in-process inspection where the inspector provides inspection from the beginning to the end of the project.
BMT provides quality assurance services ensuring client, contractor, and sub-contractor interface. Inspection specification development and support is provided as well as welding procedure and inspection report review. Welding procedure development and qualification for design and repair services are also offered. Click here for more information.
Non-Destructive Evaluation
Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) is a wide group of analysis techniques used in science and industry to evaluate the properties of a material, component or system without causing damage. Because NDT does not permanently alter the article being inspected, it is a highly-valuable technique that can save both money and time in product evaluation, troubleshooting, and research.
Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Services include liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and ultrasonic inspection as a final weld inspection after construction, repairs or as condition assessment during asset integrity inspections. Click here for more information.
